David M. Ewalt is a senior editor at Forbes, where he writes about about games and technology. In 2008 he launched Forbes' annual ranking of America's Best Colleges, and served as the magazine's first education editor.

An award-winning journalist, he previously worked as a reporter at InformationWeek, where he covered the telecommunications business. Prior to that, he worked in the investigations department at Newsday. His byline has appeared in outlets as varied as Archaeology Magazine, The Harvard Asia Pacific Business Review, and The Village Voice.

In his capacity as tech guru, he frequently appears as an expert on TV, radio and Internet media, including ABC's Good Morning America, NPR's All Things Considered, CNBC's Closing Bell, and G4TV's Attack of the Show.

He is currently working on his first book, a history of the game Dungeons & Dragons, which will be published by Scribner.
